So who’s competing at HYROX Boston?
David Johnson, Former NFL Running Back
Former NFL all-pro running back for the Arizona Cardinals, David Johnson, is competing at HYROX Boston. He spent 8 years in the NFL from 2015-2022, playing for the Cardinals, Texans, and Saints.
David is signed up for the HYROX Pro Men’s division on Sunday.
Danny Amendola
Danny Amendola, former NFL wide receiver for the New England Patriots, is teaming up with multiple time HYROX finisher and CrossFit athlete, Ryan Picou.
Brooke & Sydney Wells
The popular CrossFit sisters, both CrossFit Games athletes, are taking on Pro Doubles on Sunday.
Sydney competed last season at HYROX Anaheim 2024 in the individual Pro division, but this is Brooke’s first time competing in HYROX. They’ll likely run it more for fun than to qualify for Elite 15 Doubles this year, but it’ll be nice to see them out there either way.
HYROX Veterans & Hybrid Athletes
Pro Individuals
On the women’s side, we expect to see…
- Alandra Greenlee
- Laura Cummings
- Kathia Rambach
- Michelle Navarro
- Brooklyn Nichols
- Janelle Teal
On the men’s side, here are the fellas lining up at HYROX Boston 2025:
- Ken Rideout – Former Wall Street trader & recovering addict, now a winner of the 50+ divisions of the New York, Boston, and Tokyo marathons. Multiple sub-2:30 marathons.
- David Johnson – Former NFL all-pro running back for the Arizona Cardinals
- Chris Vonhof – Finished 2nd at the 2024 DEKA STRONG World Championship
- Jack Driscoll
- Isaac Sanderson
- Ryan Kent – HYROX Elite 15 athletes
- Colin Stiefer – HYROX Elite 15 athlete
- Kevin Gregory (@bubblestheclowne)
Currently, both Kent & Stiefer are listed as in the second heat. Hopefully they get placed in the first heat so they can race directly with the other top guys.
Pro Doubles
Aside from the Wells sisters & Danny Amendola, there aren’t many big names in the Pro Doubles division on both the men’s and women’s side. We’ll wait to see who comes out on top.
