This is the first official DEKA FIT event of the year on U.S. soil. Athletes will be looking to make a statement and set the bar high for qualification for DEKA World Championships.

DEKA FIT Knoxville Men

• Joseph Cotto – 6th at last year’s World Championship
• Colin Stiefer – 7th at last year’s World Championship
• Kevin Gregory – Last year’s DEKA STRONG world champion
• Alfons Deu Ruiz – 2024’s best time so far at 30:57

Chaz Hatton, Robert Killian, Joshua Gonzalez and Derek Yorek all have DEKA FIT times under 32 minutes. Dustin Needham, the 2023 DEKA FIT 40-44 age group world champ, could also push for a top 5 finish.

Dustin is also teaming up with another world champ, Taylor Haney, for DEKA FIT Teams.

DEKA FIT Knoxville Women

Morgan Schulz looks to be the favorite on the women’s side, but look for Samantha Wood & Emilee Stevens to give her a push.

Underdog Fitness + Lumaflex

Underdog Fitness is partnering with Lumaflex, a red light therapy company who will have devices at the event to help athletes with recovery.

About DEKA FIT

DEKA is an indoor fitness competition featuring 10 functional fitness zones preceded by a 500-meter run, 5k in total. DEKA is fitness gamified and designed for all levels. No matter your background or experience, DEKA will help you set your baseline so you can train with a purpose.

There are 5 different heat types:

• Open Heat: open to all levels of fitness ages 10+
• Age Group Heat: eligible for Age Group recognition
• Elite Heat: eligible for cash prizes
• DEKA FIT GORUCK: ruck or backpack – Male 30lb & Female 20lb – a limited number of loaner rucks will be available on-site courtesy of GORUCK. Eligible for prizes from Titan 6 Actual.
• Team Division: teams of 2 (Female, Male, & Coed) divide and conquer the DEKA FIT arena

Prize Money

The top 3 elite men and women each receive:

• 1st place: $1,000
• 2nd place: $500
• 3rd place: $250

Spectators

DEKA FIT Knoxville is free to attend for spectators.
