2023 Rally in the Valley
A 2-day hybrid competition with 11 workouts consisting of trail runs, hill climbs, paddle boarding, barbell tests, 1RM max lifts, and several surprise events.

Rally In The Valley will be back and better than ever. Will Ryan Dillon and Faith Farley be able to secure their titles or will someone new emerge as the fittest in the valley? Only time will tell.
Here’s what you can expect this year:
- Standup paddle board adventure-style race, sponsored by Appalachian Boarding Company
- GORUCK events
- Trail runs
- Barbell tests
- Functional fitness/CrossFit-style workouts
11 events over the course of the weekend. All athletes will complete the first 8 tests, and the top 8 advance to perform workouts 9, 10, and 11 to crown the champion.
The trail runs will take place on Meeks Mountain Trails, and the paddle board race will launch from Winfield Boat Launch, as athletes paddle the Kanawha River. Sunday’s gym workouts will take place at ShotFire Fitness in Hurricane, WV.
