Ryan Kent & Rich Ryan recently discussed elite times for all 10 DEKA zones for those looking to be competitive at DEKA FIT. Let’s take a look at what they think you need to hit if you’re trying to break into elite status for DEKA FIT. We’ll look at both men’s and women’s times.
Keep in mind, these times are for DEKA FIT events. For DEKA MILE & DEKA STRONG, they’d be similar, but likely a little different because of the difference in running in those events.
Ryan & Rich mention at the beginning of their segment that these times do not include transition time. So the split you’re given on DEKA FIT’s leaderboard will be slightly higher than these times because that does include transition time in and out of each zone.

Here’s the video from the Mile Hybrid Show where Ryan & Rich discuss goal times for elite athletes in DEKA FIT.
Elite DEKA FIT Run Times
The one thing they don’t discuss in this video is how fast you need to run to break into the elite category. I’d love to hear their take on 500m split times, or total cumulative running time. Over the next few weeks, I’ll try to grab some data from previous DEKA FIT events and do some analysis to see just how fast you need to run to compete with other elite DEKA FIT athletes.
