Is HYROX coming to Denver, Colorado? They haven’t announced an official HYROX race in the mile high city, but it is one of the largest US cities that hasn’t seen the popular fitness race yet. Will HYROX come to Denver in 2025?
Denver has many upsides for a fitness race:
- Centrally located in the U.S.
- Popular airport with tons of flights
- Thriving fitness culture with lots of young, fit people
- Over a dozen HYROX affiliate gyms in the greater metro area
However, there’s one big downside… ELEVATION.
Because Denver sits at over 5,000 ft. above sea level, there’s less oxygen in the air. Anyone who’s spent any time here knows that it’s harder to breathe, and that makes for a more difficult race and slower times. If you’re trying to qualify for World Championships, it’s going to be harder to do at a race in Denver.
And for that reason, I think it’s unlikely we’ll see HYROX in Colorado this year.
BUT… there are others ways you can get involved if you live in or around the mile high city.
Races Nearby
There are several cities with HYROX races that are close to Denver and easy to travel to. You can find relatively inexpensive flights from Denver to all of these other races:
- Las Vegas
- Houston
- Dallas
- Chicago
These are your best options until HYROX brings the action to Colorado.
HYROX PFT in Denver
As of April 2025, there are no HYROX PFT events in the Denver area (none in all of Colorado). You can check the HYROX PFT site for an up-to-date lists of events.

HYROX Gyms in Denver, CO
You can still train for any of the many HYROX events happening all over the US, or even internationally. There are over a dozen HYROX gyms and training centers in the Denver, Colorado area. You’ll find a few F45 gyms, as well as boutique gyms, and some CrossFit gyms that have jumped on the HYROX train.

F45 is a global HYROX partner, so most of their gyms accommodate some type of HYROX training. Even if your F45 gym isn’t listed on the HYROX website as an official training club, I would still call them up and ask about HYROX.
