We’ve got a sneak peek of the Elite 15 grid course for HYROX Hamburg below. And based on the title of the video, it looks like they will use the same course layout for the second major at HYROX Melbourne later this year. It’s undetermined whether they’ll use the same course for the final two majors of the year in Phoenix & Warsaw.

And here’s a static map of the Elite 15 course:
Run Laps
For the Elite 15 races…
- On run 1, athletes will enter the Roxzone the FIFTH time they see the IN arch
- For runs 2-8, athletes will enter the Roxzone the FOURTH time they see the IN arch
Stations
Stations 1, 5 and 8 have their own dedicated zone inside the Roxzone, while stations 2, 3, 4, and 7 will all take place on the grid in the Roxzone. Station 6, the farmer’s carry, will take place around the the running track.
- SkiErg – There’s a dedicated zone, just inside of the IN arch
- Sled Push – Takes place on the grid, and consists of 4 x 12.5m lengths
- Sled Pull – Takes place on the grid, and consists of 4 x 12.5m lengths
- Burpee Broad Jumps – Takes place on the grid
- Row – There’s a dedicated zone, just inside of the IN arch
- Farmer’s Carry – 1 lap of the running course
- Sandbag Lunges – Takes place on the grid
- Wall Balls – Takes place in a dedicated zone. Each athlete will have an assigned wall ball lane.
Here’s a quick refresher on all 8 HYROX stations →
Grandstands
There are 2 massive grandstands on either side of the Elite 15 course.
- They should provide an excellent view of a majority of the race
- Wall balls might be the only station where the grandstands don’t provide a great view
Penalties
If any penalties are assessed during the race, a HYROX official will attempt to notify the athlete as soon as possible.
- The athlete will serve the penalty in their dedicated wall ball lane, after completing 100 wall balls
- Therefore, the first athlete across the finish line is the winner
- The only exception to this would be for unsportsmanlike conduct discovered after the race, or a protest from another athlete

Coaches Zone
For the first time ever in a HYROX Elite 15 race, there’s a dedicated coaches zone. Each athlete is allowed to have one coach inside this area.
- The coaches zone runs alongside the grid (stations 2, 3, 4, 7), as well as the wall balls
- No outside assistance is allowed, aside from verbal coaching
- Athletes are responsible for the conduct of their coaches
Athletes Table
A dedicated table for athletes is located just before the OUT arch.
- Athletes can stage nutrition on this table, and are allowed to access it at any time throughout the race
- The table is unsupervised, and athletes are responsible for what they consume
If the athletes choose not to bring their own nutrition, a hydration table is provided by HYROX just inside of the IN arch, in the Roxzone. Water & Red Bull will be provided.
Elite 15 Lounge & Warm-Up Area
New for the 2025/26 season, the Elite 15 have their own lounge and warm-up area. We don’t know much about what is available to them in this area, but it’s a nice addition for those competing at the highest level.
Age Group Course Map
The course at HYROX Hamburg for all divisions besides the Elite 15 happen in a separate hall, in an adjacent section of the venue. There’s a hallway connecting the two courses.
The age group course is similar to many other HYROX courses you might be familiar with. The stations are placed inside of the Roxzone, which is inside of the running track.
As always, the warm-up area is for athletes only, and located just before the start tunnel.

Run Laps
- For all runs (1-8), athletes will enter the Roxzone the THIRD time they see the IN arch.
- The first run will be a bit longer (~2.9 laps), and laps 2 through 8 will be about 2.3 laps. But it’s always the THIRD time you see the IN arch.
Stations
- You will enter all stations by turning RIGHT into the station, except the ski, which you will run STRAIGHT into after entering the Roxzone
- Stations 1, 2, and 3 are all in order
- The wall balls are in the center of the Roxzone, between stations 1/2/3 and 4/5/6/7
- The farmer’s carry is 2 laps
- There are 4 water stations spread out evenly inside the Roxzone. They will contain water & Red Bull.
- There are 2 bathrooms inside the race venue, with one being pretty close to the start tunnel
- For HYROX relay races, the relay zone is located just behind the warm-up area
Whether you’re going to HYROX Hamburg to compete in your age group, or there to watch the Elite 15 races, it looks to be a great venue.
