Adrenalin HYROX Oslo takes place from Friday, September 26th through Sunday, September 28th at the NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, Norway 🇳🇴. Almost 10,000 athletes are expected to race across Open, Pro, Doubles, Adaptive, and Relay divisions.
HYROX has released the official course map for HYROX Oslo, which includes station placement, the Roxzone, and number of run laps to be completed for each 1,000m run. You’ll also find information about registration, check-in, bag check, restrooms, and more.
How Many Laps to Run
For HYROX Oslo, the number of laps you have to run vary depending on which run you are on.
For runs 1-7, you’ll go IN the THIRD time you see the IN arch.
For run 8, you’ll go into the WALL BALL IN the THIRD time you see the WALL BALL IN.
So every run will consist of 2+ laps, and you’ll always enter your next HYROX station the THIRD time you see the IN arch for that station.
Wall Balls
The only difference is, for the first 7 stations, you’ll be looking for the arch that says IN. It will always be on your LEFT. This will enter you into the Roxzone, where you will then find the next station that you need to complete.
For the 8th and final station, the wall balls, you’ll be looking for the arch that says WALL BALL IN. It will be located directly in front of you, right after you cross over the COURSE CROSSING.
Course Map Details
Let’s break down the course in more detail…
Bathrooms
There are no bathrooms directly on the course, but…
- There are 2 bathrooms located just outside the entrance to the course, directly across from the course crossing area.
Bag Drop
Bag drop is located inside the venue, very close to the finishing stage. This makes it easy to pick up your bag once you complete the race.
When you register, ask them where bag drop is located. It should be a short walk from where you pick up your timing chip.
Warm Up Area
As with all HYROX races, the warm up area is…
- for athletes only
- located right next to the start tunnel
There will be plenty of equipment to use to get ready for your race. HYROX provides treadmills, row ergs, ski ergs, sandbags, kettlebells, and usually some turf with a few sleds.
You’ll also be right near the wall ball station and finishing stage, so you might get to watch some friends finish before you start your race.
Hydration Stations
There are 2 hydration stations, both located inside the Roxzone.
- One is right when you exit the sled pull
- The other is right when you exit the row
HYROX hydration stations always have water, and sometimes will include either an electrolyte drink and/or Red Bull.
Stations
The 8 HYROX stations are basically in order, making them easy to navigate. You’ll just need to remember which station you just completed so you know which one to go to next.
The only exception is the final station, wall balls. These are located in a separate area, outside of the Roxzone. When it’s time for you to enter the wall balls, make sure you look for the separate WALL BALL IN arch. DO NOT go into the regular IN arch that you entered for zones 1-7.
Grandstand
There will be a grandstands on both sides of the wall balls, so all your friends can watch you suffer through 100 reps… and cheer you on, of course 😀. You won’t know which side your athlete will end up on, so you’ll have to pick a side. However, it looks pretty easy to run behind the finishing stage to get to the grandstand on the other side.

Therabody Recovery Area
Be sure to stop by the Therabody recovery area, right after you cross the finish line. You’ll find reclining chairs, water, and Therabody recovery devices.
And leave your timing chip on so you can get your picture with your time in the background. You can hand in your chip after you leave the recovery area.
Have fun out there! 🏃🏋️
