Is HYROX coming to Seattle, Washington, USA? They haven’t announced an official HYROX race in the Emerald City, but it is one of the largest US cities that hasn’t seen the popular fitness race yet. Will HYROX come to Seattle in 2026?
Seattle has many upsides for a fitness race:
- Metropolitan area with a large population (15th largest metro area in the US; over 4 million people)
- Popular airport with tons of non-stop flights
- Thriving fitness culture with lots of young, fit people
- Over a dozen HYROX affiliate gyms in the Seattle area
However, one of the downsides for a Seattle HYROX is:
- Much further to travel for East Coast & European athletes
Possible Venues
There are several viable venues where HYROX could host a Seattle event.
- Climate Pledge Arena: Indoor arena with a capacity of 18,000, and home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken & WNBA’s Seattle Storm
- Seattle Convention Center: Flexible indoor space with 3 distinct exhibition halls, and a capacity of 25,000
- Bell Harbor International Conference Center: A waterfront indoor/outdoor space, with one possible option that could be large enough to host a HYROX
I think it’s unlikely we’ll see HYROX in Seattle this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see one in 2027 or 2028.

There are several cities with HYROX races that are close enough to Seattle and easy to travel to. You can find relatively inexpensive flights from Seattle to all of these U.S. races:

- Anaheim, CA
- Houston, TX

HYROX Simulations in Seattle
A HYROX simulation (aka: “HYROX SIM”) is either a full-length or condensed version of the official HYROX race. Some local gyms host HYROX SIMs so you can get an idea of what the race is like before you compete. This is a great way to test your fitness and establish a goal for your first race.
There are several places in Seattle that offer HYROX SIMs.
Emerald City Athletics
Emerald City Athletics is hosting a HYROX-sponsored SIM on October 18th, 2025. The top performances (2 male, 2 female) will earn 1 ticket to an official HYROX race in North America, good for the 2025/26 season.
The simulation competition is true to the HYROX format, featuring workout stations with a run in between each one. ECA’s SIM is sponsored by the HYROX organization and will include a pre-race vendor village & post-race party.
You can race as an individual, 2-person team (aka: HYROX Doubles), or a 4-person relay team.

HYROX Classes in Seattle

Athletic Form
Athletic Form offers two types of HYROX group fitness classes in the SoDo district of Seattle:
- HYROX Team on Saturdays at 8:30am
- HYROX Skill on Wednesdays at 6:00am

F45 Ballard
F45 Training in Ballard offers the following HYROX classes:
- HYROX Signature Foundations 1 – Sundays at 9:45am
- HYROX Signature Foundations 2 – Sundays at 9:45am
Foundations 1: This workout is all about managing your intensity and finishing strong! This multi interval workout will help you understand output vs effort and introduces the skill of recovery through movement.
Foundations 2: Gear up for an unbroken 2.5-minute sets, pushing your limits from start to finish. Between stations, teamwork is key as you keep the momentum going. Set yourself a challenge, put your head down, and stay focused—because today, work is the name of the game.
Drop-in rates are $29/class. F45 also offers monthly memberships.

HYROX Gyms in Seattle, WA
You can still train for any of the many HYROX events happening all over the US, or even internationally. There are over a dozen HYROX gyms and training centers in the Seattle, Washington area. You’ll find a few F45 gyms, as well as boutique gyms, and some CrossFit gyms that have jumped on the HYROX train.
